Snap Hand Tool Kit

DELUXE SNAP HAND TOOL KIT
This NEW snap tool set is a real winner from DMSeeleysTools I sell a couple snap hand tools and this really is a deluxe tool kit and has all kinds of extras!
The vise grip pliers hand tool is the base for the set and is really neat because by implementing changeable jaws, 18 of them it now becomes many tools in one. Not only that but you can reduce or increase the tool pressure with the threaded adjustment screw this puts extra power in your hands which can come in handy for thicker material and can save on your wrist or hand wearing out before your done.

This snap hand tool will set the canvas style snap you might see on boat covers, (snaps included). Not only that It will also set button snaps. The type you may see on clothing also( included). Make another quick jaw change and you can now use it with the gold brass grommets 6.35 & 6.36 MM which are also included for larger stress protected holes. I use them on my flags and they look great. Also use them on any stress tie down. Pool covers grill covers, that fire wood pile you decide.
That’s not all, change the jaws again and you now have a powerful hole or center punch. It can also be used to countersink or indent your material by adjusting the threaded screw. Use on leather or other thick similar material.

That’s not all this handy home or work shop snap hand tool kit does. It also will set rivets in 3 sizes 3/16" 1/8" and 5/32" again (included). It also has the ability to be used to remove those same rivets. Last but not least there are two protective plane jaws to use for no mar gripping up to 1/2" thick. All this in a handy impact plastic case from DMSeeleysTools for your at home hand tools needs.

Adjustable Circle Hole Cutters

                      Adjustable Circle Hole Hand Tool

From DMSeeleysTools.com If you ever need to put a hole or drill a circle in metal wood or other
materials you can obtain a couple neat hand tools that will work well for
most of your at home projects. The more common is a drill style hand tool, which
is an adjustable circle hole cutter and will cut a nice circle in light
metals, plastic or wood. Metal as long as it has a carbide cutter and metal drill. I used mine to cut a hole in a exterior wood door covered in light metal. I suppose as a fire retard. You must drill light metal with a high RPM drill.

There are look a like hand tools and bits out there but most will not cut light metals
like this adjustable circle hole bit will. This hand tool will take the place of a number of drill bits
and take up less room in that at home hand tools box. It has a capacity from 7/8"
to 5" diameter and both the drill and carbide are replaceable. Some money
savings compared to having to buy a new circle hole tool when they get dull. Handy to
have since you never know what size hole you might be drilling around the
home or workshop.

Even more interesting at DMSeeleysTools.com is the larger adjustable sheet metal hand
tools hole cutter used by some airplane mechanics as well as for at home sheet
metal projects. This adjustable circle hole drill will cut from 2" to 12" holes in up to 20-gauge
sheet metal. It can also be used with any high-speed electric hand drill. The bit
in this tool wears in the amount of thickness being cut so adjusting it up or
down exposes new blade for more cuts increasing the life of the circle hole drill bit being
used and again saving a few bucks in the long run when needing to replace
tooling..
This hand tool has a sliding hole with a pivot pin in it so you can make
adjustments for the size of holes you are cutting. It also has a handy scale
on the bottom in inches and metric to help with your size adjustments. Two
tools doing the work of many different size bits is the advantage these tools
have over others. They are DMSeeleysTools.com examples of another unique and useful adjustable circle hole drill.

PLUMBIMNG HAND TOOLS TIP:

The Garden Hose Trick

I'm going to talk about a neat hand tool to have around the home below but before I do check out this tip from your home hand tools blog. So your sink is plugged or your toilet won't flush. You tried the plunger and all those drain cleaners that are met for maintenance. If you don't have the right hand tools it may be time to call the plumber or maybe try this.

Run a snake which is what your local plumber would do. You say you don't have that hand tool! Well you could still save a few bucks by just buying one and have it around the home for future use.

Now I want to be her4e for you for you, and before you do that here's another possible way to save you some of your hard $$$$ earned money around your home.

Before I tell you how and get a e-mail I know this may not work for you folks in high rise buildings or apartments since you may not have a hose handy. I also know you folks out there are clever and could find a way it may work for you! You decide! Some short cuts just will not work for everybody.

I've used this method for many years with my rental properties with out needing all of the plumbing hand tools out there and its saved me a lot of money because it usually works.

You might not consider your garden hose a hand tool until it saves you money. You will need some help to do this though you can do it your self because I have.

Bring your connected garden hose into the house and put it into the plugged drain or toilet bowel or what ever is not draining. Wrap it with soft cotton like a T shirt so you have a tight seal around the opening. Get it wet first to help your seal. Turn on the hose and hold it there with all your strength and do not let the water back up toward you. In most cases the water pressure will blow out the obstruction.

If the water backed up try it a couple more times. Some plumbers out there might not be happy with me but at
http://www.dmseeleystools.com/ we will suggest their help when their expertise is your best choice.

May your drains run free and you save some $$$.

Hand Tool Faucet Wrench

If you ever have to replace a faucet on a sink you really need this hand tool its a must have under sink hand tool called a basin wrench. I had this hand tool in my late Fathers toolbox and didn’t know what it was for until I was under a sink for an hour smashing up my knuckles.

Many faucets are held in place by nuts located underneath the sink and yes you have to crawl underneath there to get them off. There is also very little room to work in to use a normal wrench. After going through all the frustration it clicked, now I know what that tool is in Dads box. After I used it I must say what a handy tool it is to reach into the small space allowed to remove the connection to your sink faucet. Check out Hand Tools Basin Wrench.

The jaws on this tool swivel on a pin from side to side or 90 degrees to either loosen or tighten the connection at hand. The jaws are also spring loaded in most of the newer wrenches to keep the tool in contact with the nut. Some of these tools are about 11" when closed and will extend to 16" in the longest locked position. Others like my older one will not extend. The ones that do, have a lock which is a spring loaded ball which goes through holes on the shaft in 4 units of 2" increments. It also has a sliding T handle.

When you need to replace that leaking faucet or just want to up grade you’ll be glad to have this hand tool for your home tool collection. Highly recommended by http://www.dmseeleystools.com/

Welding Tools For The Home

AUTO DARKENING SOLAR WELD HELMET What’s great, you no longer have to raise or lower you’re your helmet during welding. This helmet is simple and compact in structure. It’s easy to use with a wide viewing area. Welding arcs emit both IR and UV wavelengths of light.

Unprotected from this light, both eye damage and discomfort can occur.Since high-quality auto-darkening helmets provide UV and IR protection even when the helmet is not activated, you are always protected. Nice helmet for that at home workshop and addition to your other welding hand tools. The Lens automatically darkens when the arc is struck in 1/10,000 of a second. Adjustable shade from #9 to # 13 (dark state); select shade level by turning dial inside helmet. Solar cell powered when welding. Coated purple lens protects from UV and IR rays up to shade 13, even in the light state.

See work more clearly before, after and during welding operations. Rear dial on head strap for adjustment. There may be an advantage to a solar helmet over a helmet that uses batteries. One thing to watch out for is getting "flashed" with battery-operated helmets. Some helmets offer a feature that will automatically turn off the battery after the helmet has been sitting idle. If the welder isn't careful, he could get arc flash thinking that his helmet is still dark. Solar powered also offers the convenience of not having to worry about changing batteries. Best to your welds.

Home Hand Tools Tips:

Ever have a picture around the home fall because the holes behind it gave out. How about a lock plate on your door that will no longer keep the door safely locked because either someone tried to push it in or theres been too many slams over the years.

Here’s a couple tips: For those who may not know there is plastic inserts at your local hardware store which will fit most common screw holes. When inserted in the hole they expand and grip when the screw is re-inserted repairing the striped out hole no major hand tools required.

Here’s another trick and doesn’t require leaving home. Get some wooden matchsticks or tooth picks or any small sliver of wood then use any wood glue and shoot some of it into the stripped out hole, insert the wood then re-insert the screw.

We hope to be sharing many other fixes and examples of hand tools that will help you with those home repairs. www.DMSeeleystools.com tries to find tools or other items that you might not always see in your local store So stop on by and check out our always fast and fair deal shipping.

Draw Shave Hand Tool

The Draw Shave or Draw Knife is a hand tool used to remove bark from logs. The name was first used about 400 years ago. The tool it self is still used in the home today by wood workers craftsman and hobbyists.

The hand tools found at this website has ¼” thick x 1-15/16” wide blade 8” long with 25 Degree blade. The tool itself has a blade in the center with wood handles on both sides. The hand tool is pulled by hand toward the person using it. Other uses in the home might be for art to shave clay or wax as well as wood. These Tools are also used for pre shaping wood to be turned on a wood lathe.

The one at DMSeeleys tools has a polished blade with the real wood handles 17” across the handle tips at the widest point and comes with a rubber blade sheath.

On an interesting point I once had a buyer tell me he was going to make canes with his draw shave and sell them. Only the users will think of all the possible uses for these tools.

Best to your cuts.

Home Hand Tools

Ideal for the home is the 4 in one hand truck. Whats nice about this one is its not real big but can still handle 200 lbs and fits easily in most autos trunks. I use mine for postal runs. Its also very light weight and the handle can be removed to make it even smaller.

The Hand cart is of all steel construction. Reinforced design toe plate, solid rubber tires with steel rims, solid rubber swivel casters and is adjustable in height in vertical position with safety locking pins. A very handy tool for the home.
4 in one Hand cart picture view.

This cart is a very versatile tool it can be used as a 4 wheel flat roll for large loads or a flat bed hand truck with access to the handle. It also can be used as a two wheel Garbage bag retainer to haul outside debris around your home as well as the more conventional hand truck.

I can recommend this hand truck as a real back saver when dealing with those extra work loads around the home or hauling things on the run, an inexpensive multi solution and Handy Tool found at http://www.dmseeleystools.com/.

Best to hauling those loads.
